SOS: Stokers On Singles
The idea for the SOS rides (Stokers on Singles) was a result of Renda & Louise wanting to get together for a bike ride. The concept grew and now ETC has another ride option.

Five riders showed up on Friday, June 7 under less than favorable weather conditions. As we all pulled into the Southcenter Costco parking lot, it was pouring. But all riders came with rain gear and we headed off for our ride, just as the rain stopped and the sun came out. It was a fun ride, consisting of Bonnie Frederick, Kim Thompson, Carol Hayes, Renda Murphy & Louise Fugier. We rode along the trail, through Tukwila, Duwamish, South Park & out to Alki for delicious fish & chips. It rained during lunch, but again, it was dry when we left to head back.However, our weather luck ran out and the last few miles were a down pour and as we packed up, thunder & lightening were occurring in the area.

We rode, we chatted, we got used to shifting, steering & braking, we took a few wrong turns, we ate - but most importantly we all had fun. Look for more SOS rides on the ETC calendar (anyone can lead them!), some in the evenings and some during the weekdays. Captains on singles & tandems are always welcome. The goal is for fun, social rides which are inclusive to all riders. Thanks everyone, for a fantastic ride last Friday!
